Guided imagery is a potent tool of consciousness, enabling access to the many layers of the mind. Guided imagery helps you gain insight, awareness and understanding. Guided imagery engages all your inner sense perceptions, creating a vibrant internal experience. Guided imagery cultivates your intuitive skills, helping you develop your inner guidance system. Guided imagery is active or passive. Active imagery engages the imagination, conjuring through your sense perceptions ‘imagery’. Active imagery suggests seeing, however this is only part of the story. In fact you are able to feel, sense, know, hear, touch, smell and so on. All the inner sense perceptions are engaged with active imagery. Passive imagery is a state of receiving. It can be likened to receiving data directly from the deeper mind or higher consciousness. Communication occurs through the sense perceptions, often with symbols and archetypes. When aligned with the heart and higher mind, we can consider this intuition or intuitive guidance.
